We are a potato and cranberry farm, that operates year round. Echo Valley farms is located at the base of the Beaufort Mountain Range, near beautiful Qualicum Beach, BC.
At Echo Valley Farms, we directly market our potato production to the retail trade, wholesalers and consumers. Ocean Spray Canada takes the majority of our cranberry production. Since 1956, our farming legacy has remained true to our land, and nature partnerships.

Echo Valley Farms is a vertically integrated family owned operation that has complete control of our products into the supply chain. Our family takes pride in the products we produce and hope to be here for many years to come.
We are committed to operating our farming business while minimizing the environmental impact. We have a long-time partnership with Ducks Unlimited Canada, that allows us to mitigate soil erosion while promoting waterfowl during the winter.
Our Roots
John Walsh Sr., a second generation Island farmer, discovered Echo Valley Farms in the early 1950’s. By the late 1950’s Walsh had purchased the land base, thus began our farming journey.
Our Products
Our Products are available to all grocery stores on Vancouver Island, If you don’t see them Ask the produce department to stock them. You can find them in 5lb and 10lb bags. They are also in the bulk section.
Our Potato Varieties
Our potato varieties are non-GMO, selected to best suit our micro-climate of Qualicum Beach. Flavour and cooking quality are always most important to us when selecting varieties. Our potato seed is source from other Canadian family farms. Some relationships we have with suppliers have been since we started in 1956.
Red - Ideal for boiling, baking & roasting
Yellow - Ideal for mashed, roasted & baked
Russet - ideal for baking, mashing, roasting & fries
Kennebec - Ideal for fries, baking & hash browns
